John and I had so much fun with Ryan and Stephanie! Back in the summer when it was warm and sunny, we photographed their fun engagement session. It began with a rustic barn and ended at Avon Lake's beach. Continuing with that beach theme....Ryan and Stephanie flew to Aruba for their actual beach side wedding. Wanting to celebrate with their friends here in the states, they hosted a fun filled evening at Windows on the River. We just had to capture a few images of the beautiful sunset over Cleveland before heading into the reception.

WE are doing away with traditional disc! This is so cool for our clients!
What does this mean? No, it doesn’t mean that I won’t be offering my clients the digital negatives, it simply means that I won’t be offering the digital negatives on a disc for those wanting something better.

Why??

Well, first of all, discs (CDs or DVDs) are so awkward. What I mean is, when was the last time you inserted a disc into your desktop or laptop? You were probably just transferring files, right? Possibly photos to your computer? You had to wait while is spun around taking forever. Then, what did you do with that disc? Put it away, or maybe even misplace it?
Discs can go bad. Yes, like they can stop working and go corrupt. Discs don’t last forever. We highly recommend backing up photos from any disc to your computer. And then again online.
Longer delivery. We don’t just slap a disc in a plastic jewel case and call it a day. For our past clients, we have ordered personalized cases, which take time to design and order. Discs take time to burn.
Instead, We are ushering our tech savvy clients into the next decade with a fast, accessible, and secure solution: cloud storage. What does this mean?

The final wedding of the year was an fun-filled beautiful winter themed celebration! After photographing Nate & Candice's vintage inspired engagement session in the spring, which included Nate's cool car, an old fashion diner and rustic farm, we knew the attention to detail for the wedding would be very special! From Candice's white fur boots, to Michael Angelo's Bakery creation of Cleveland Browns snowman topper for the snow covered cake, it was an amazing New Year's wedding! The band Off The Hook, rocked the party all night long, with awesomely creative ideas for getting the crowd involved in the singing and dancing!

Haja & Marie had a beautiful winter wedding. Coming from Florida, Marie had hoped all year that it would really be a white wedding. When they arrived earlier in the week she was a bit disappointed, so when the snowflakes started falling early on their wedding day, it was the perfect beginning to a perfect wedding.

Anthony and Burgundy aren't just a beautiful couple on the outside, they are fabulously fun, considerate and just plain nice! We spent several hours running around Cleveland in the cold, but had such a good time doing it! I love the way they were open to incorporating pieces of their lives into their engagement session! We began with their wonderful dog, Bentley (reminds of the dog in one of my favorite movies, "You've Got Mail"). We photographed around their home and ventured around the corner to downtown Cleveland. We found a little warmth and really great surrounds in Pickwick and Frolic and then even visited one of their friends that lives right on 4th St.! Love being able to capture the skyline from above!!

Their Little Italy wedding is going to be so much fun this summer!

Mark & Rachael Seidel's Wedding

Mark Seidel and Rachael Baker were married Saturday, but the fun began Friday for me when I photographed their wedding rehearsal and dinner. It was a beautiful evening at SB 81 (formally Saucy Bistro) with the families that had come from across the United States. The speeches that were given not only showed the amazing love between their families, but also the wonderful personalities of Mark and Rachael. When I left, I was really excited for the wedding the next day. It began with warm sunshine..a great way to start any wedding morning, but turned into dark skies and rain once the wedding ceremony was over! That didn't detour us! We had an amazing time dodging the rain and had fun doing it!

Rachael was a beautiful classic bride. Just gorgeous inside and out!

We had the wonderful pleasure of photographing Troy & Mallory at the beautiful Cleveland Botanical Gardens this weekend! We had so much fun casually strolling through the gardens and finding unique and amazing lighting to help capture the sweet and loving nature of this couple! It certainly wasn't difficult to catch the love between them. John and I were photographing together and he didn't disappoint in the funny poses he conjured up for Troy & Mallory. They were great sports as I rolled my eyes.....but sure enough the poses came out adorable! We had a great time with Troy & Mallory and we are looking forward to their wedding next July!

John Rubis & Dana Deliberato's Engagement

When I met with John & Dana I was instantly excited with the beautiful wedding plans they had arranged for next year! As we talked about their plans and about their relationship, I felt such a warm and natural love between the two of them. I was thrilled when we started discussing engagement sessions. They were sold on the idea that they wanted to take their engagement pictures where they had dated and received their undergraduate degrees. I was sold on the idea, because I LOVE the area....it's absolutely beautiful, full of historic buildings and not to mention our son, Daniel! So Friday we packed up or cameras and headed a little south! It proved to be a wonderful sunny Saturday. We had so much fun getting to know John & Dana and Ohio University a little better!

We just had to take a picture in front of the alumni gates!

Like I said above...a beautiful sunny Saturday! So cute!

Bill and Kristin Haid had a beautiful fall wedding at

Hawthorne Valley Country Club in Solon, Ohio this weekend! Though the hurricane type winds

kept us mostly inside for the day, it didn't dampen Kristin and Bills amazing smiles! The wedding was held in a covered balcony, which displayed an amazing background of fall foliage over the golf course. Kristin's bright autumn colors and the scenic landscape really helped to spread the

warmth and cheer of the day among all their guest! We had such a good time with Kristin, Bill and their friends and family! --John

Pete & Rossana Stella's Wedding

After having Pete and Rossana's wedding booked for almost a year, we finally got to meet this past Friday when Pete and Rossana flew in from California! Yes, it was Pete's mother, Nona, that I met and had grown to know over the year. She was so enthusiastic and fun with her ideas and plans to help make Pete and Rossana's wedding as special as they themselves were, and that was no easy task. Pete and Rossana are truly special! All the wonderful things Nona had told me were no exaggeration. You can see from the pictures that they were so happy and adored each other. I just love that.

The wedding was beautiful. The ceremony was held outdoors at Manakiki Country Club, with the rocking reception in the old mansion. The amazing band, NightBridge was what I would call the "icing on the cake". We had so much fun with them and their families! Save travels back to California! And also to Rossana's family from Colombia!

Rossana and Pete did the traditional walk down the isle a little nontraditional....with a chauffeured golf cart!

Isn't this such a pretty and elegant cake! Those flowers are sugar!

Joe Distel & Jen Rinaldi were one of those couples that I anxiously looked forward to their wedding. After photographing them for the engagements last year, they referred us to several of their friends. I loved their friends just as much! Such great people to know and share in such a special time of their lives. Though Joe & Jen had planned for an outdoor, lakeside wedding the ceremony was moved indoors due to high winds and earlier rain, but, that certainly didn't stop us from braving the winds and still capturing some terrific wedding pictures! Thanks to the newly married Distels and their "ready for anything" wedding party!

When Stephanie met with Megan she felt an instant connection and was anxious for me to meet her as well. When we finally got to meet Greg, we really understood what a wonderful couple they were. A simple Facebook post would not be enough to express the magical love and fun of this wedding! Rebecca Cato & Metin Eren, tied the knot Saturday at the beautiful Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Rebecca and her family and friends, all arrived from England earlier in the week. This couple is amazing. As the family friend and judge that married them stated during the ceremony........"If intelligence were measured in watts, I'd be a 9 volt battery and these two would be nuclear power plants." As Oxford and Harvard graduates, Rebecca and Metin of course are very bright, but there is so much more to them. Rebecca is kind and sweet with a sometimes soft demeanor, yet strong and lively. Metin, as an Archeologist, is down-to-earth (bet he has heard that one a few times), funny, friendly and just an all around great guy. A wedding reception held at the Cleveland Museum of Science & Industry was the perfect setting for a fun filled evening!!

It was a pleasure meeting the "Brits" and noticing some to the English wedding touches that Rebecca brought to the wedding. Metin & Rebecca's families were a joy to get to know. We really feel honored to not only have been selected to photograph the wedding, but to have gotten to know them!

Jacquelyn Matia and Jason Rahmel celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Elyria Country Club. It was the

perfect setting with outdoor patios, fire pits and drinks under the stars. Of course, that was just outside, inside was filled with beautiful flowers, chandlers and so many friendly guest that the evening was full of laughing and dancing all night long. It was a special wedding and John and I had gotten to know some of

the family over the last year, which really made it seem as if we were photographing friends...in fact we were! Jason and Jaquelyn are a fantastic couple with warm smiles and loving personalities!

I met Candice and Nate several months ago when they were looking for a wedding photographer. It was so exciting to see them again and get to know them a little better prior to their wedding that will be on New Years Eve! When Nate mentioned during our initial meeting, that he had a vintage car, we all thought of trying to incorporate it into some unique engagement shots. It turned out to be so much fun! Not only were John and I photographing them, but also our good friend Michael and his assistant Sharon. We had a great time at the diner and even more fun at the country farm! Wow, summer is just about here and I'm so excited get back to our blog with sunshine and smiles! This wedding was such fun, especially with the bride being from our home town! They were a sweet couple and the love David felt for Allison was so apparent every time he took her hand or looked into her eyes. It was just beautiful! Windows on The River is such a fabulous venue to showcase the Cleveland skyline! Jennifer Gallagher and Vince Squillace's Wedding
What a fun-filled day for a wedding! Beginning at the Ritz, with a bit of pampering and then jumping on the 'retro' party bus for traveling around the city. They eventually arrived at one of the prettiest churches in Cleveland, all on the funky bus! The day was full of unique locations from the Great Lakes Brewery for a quick lunch, then on to the Tug Boat Company and then a private rooftop view of Cleveland. Ending the party bus ride at the Indian's Stadium for a truly awesome reception. Loved the families involved in all the preparations!

Their wedding is to be held lakeside next October. How fun it that?! Despite a little distance in their current living locations, their wedding plans are truly falling into place with a year to spare! A very sweet and fun couple.

Dave and Niki's wedding is one of those weddings that we will remember forever. The couple are beautiful people, inside and out and everyone raved about their love. Both busy professionals, I began our working relationship with Niki's mother, Cindy, first. After talking at length with Cindy, I knew if Niki was anything like her mother, I was going to really like her! Sure enough they Niki and Dave were great people.

The wedding day was warm and after finishing pictures at the church, we decided that we wouldn't be able to make it downtown for indoor (air conditioned) pictures, so we went to some beautiful gardens close to the reception. Just as we had taken a few shots, it suddenly began to get dark and pour on us! Fortunately we were close to a very small pavilion! What started out as a sprinkle became terrible floods around us. The limo driver was very gracious and backed the car up to us. Niki, like a great sport, hopped on her new husband's back and took a piggyback ride to the car in the rain. We thought we were set, till we soon found that the limo was stuck. After some running around we tried to pull it out with a large truck, after several attempts the hook holding the strap onto the tow hitch broke, flying back and hitting the limo and a small piece busted the radiator! Eventually the guest at the reception got word and a parade of cars came to rescue the couple and the 14 members of the wedding party. The rest of the evening was beautiful and the bride and groom really took it all in stride! Yes, we will never forget, but who can say they have as much to talk about, when asked about their wedding?! Every time I think about this wedding I can't help but smile!

Diana and Brian live in Virginia, which is my home state. It was great meeting Brian's Virginian family and spending such a wonderful evening downtown Cleveland. When first meeting Diana we discussed her taste and how she wanted to incorporate polka dots and bows in wedding. I was thrilled, because I love them too and couldn't wait to see the results. She did a fantastic job! Very unique, fun and cute cake too!

Beautiful and Unique

From our first meeting with Asma, I knew we were in for a treat! Asma was poised, bright and planning a big wedding in only 7 weeks! I was truely amazed at what she accomplished in such a short time! Everything was beautiful and different. One thing she wanted to have that was more American than Pakistani, was a wedding cake. But, even that had a twist to it. Ater feeding each other with a fork, then the parents were invited up to serve them as well. The dancers were like nothing I'd seen before, bright and lively. From the groom's arrival 'parade', to the clothing and the meal, everything was done with great care and joy. Have a wonderful year in Pakistan Asma and Kamran and we look forward to your return next year!

Sabrina and Andrew were such a unique and fun couple. The wedding had a "movie" theme, with all the reception details being done like a production. It really showed their personalities and style! With the wedding being "produced" at Kalahari Resort, every detail was beautiful. The couple then went to Disney World for their honeymoon. A great finish to their special weekend!
